Broken Arrow Dance Academy is an up and coming studio with dedicated and energetic teaching staff. We offer competitive pricing and excellent class options. We are currently offering Classical Ballet, Pre-Pointe, Power Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary/Lyrical, Musical Theater, Irish Step Dancing, Clogging, Children’s Combination Classes, Acro, and Competition Teams.

Julie Hawkins – owner and director of Broken Arrow Dance Academy, has more than eighteen years experience in the performing arts industry; whether it was as a performer traveling across the United States or working alongside nationally known instructors teaching and assisting in classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, power tap, musical theater, clogging, and Irish step dance (or Riverdance). As a member and now director of Shockwave, which won twice on the CBS’s Nationally Televised show Star Search she understands what it means to have extensive knowledge of all facets of dance. Julie has trained with many national instructors including: Anthony Manescau (Nationally recognized principal dancer and instructor in the US, Canada, and toured Europe), Angel Armas (Co-Owner and Director of Stars Dance Studio, and most recognized and known for reality Lifetime show Dance Moms: Miami), Stan Webb (National Instructor and Nationally Recognized Director), and the National Touring cast of Broadway Production Tap Dogs. With over eight years of experience in coordinating events, exhibitions, performances, and competitions both locally and nationally she has performed in the opening ceremonies of the AAU Junior Olympic Games, competed in the AAU Junior Olympics, opened for numerous acclaimed Branson shows including: The Duttons, Chinese Acrobats, Dixie Stampede, Showboat Branson Belle, and Clay Cooper, performed multiple times on Carnival Cruise Lines, is a member of a Grand National Dance Team for over six years, and is a female soloist champion. Along with so many other national awards, she most recently directed and earned the title of Grand National Champions 2012, Won numerous judges awards including best overall choreography and best in show. Julie supports our community through supporting community events, programs, and education. She exhibits the leadership skills, enthusiasm, and a positive role model for our youth.
